Message from Nurse Reilly
We are now in the middle of the flu season. áBear in mind the following points.
á
- If your child exhibits a cough, cold, fever and/or other flu-like symptoms, DO NOT send them to school.
á
- Students who are kept home for fever, must be fever-free without medication for 24 hours. á
á
- If your child complains of being sick in the morning, please DO NOT send them to school with instructions
á to visit the school nurse. áBy the time a sick student visits the school nurse, other students have been
á exposed to contagion and this can be serious.
á
- Should your child shows symptoms of illness, please check for a fever but, bear in mind, that not all
á children who contract the flu develop a fever.
á
It is imperative that we all do our part to keep BF healthy during the flu season. áPlease encourage your child to wash their hands with warm soapy water as often as possible.
á
Thank you.
Mrs. Kerri Reilly, RN, CSN
BF School Nurse
